After Big Brother 11 auditions kicked off in Manchester earlier this month, auditions moved onto Dublin and Glasgow, before visiting Cardiff last week. Former Welsh contestants Glyn Wise and Rachel Rice were on hand and gave their thoughts about the final ever series…
Big Brother 9 winner Rachel told BBC News: “I’m very hopeful that there will be another series in the future because I just think Big Brother is something the younger generation still watch and they are not getting bored with it.
“I loved going on it and I don’t regret it one bit, I met some great friends and I’m just so grateful that the producers put me in the house – it was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone to go on there,” continued Rachel, who, since winning the show in 2008, has returned to teaching.
Asked for advice to give this year’s auditionees, Rachel said: “Just be aware Big Brother is always watching!
“Even in the queues they are constantly watching you so just be yourself because they will see through it if you are not.
“They get to know you inside out before you go into the house.”
The final rounds of open auditions take place in London on the 6 and 7 of February at Wembley Arena. Full details can be found on the Channel4 website.
