Big Brother 11 auditions kick off in Manchester

Big Brother 10 eye

Big Brother auditions kicked off in Manchester over the weekend with “hundreds” of hopefuls queuing up outside of Manchester Central for their last chance to appear in the reality TV series. Those at the front had been waiting since 10:30PM the following day to get their chance in front of the series producers for the final show this summer.

As one might expect there were a fair few extroverts at the auditions, mostly girls dressed in miniskirts and low cut tops looking for a chance at fame. There were a few odd ones too, including a Mr. T look-a-like who told the Manchester Evening News: “My initials are TRM, which backwards spell MR T. Everybody calls me Mr T. I don’t know why.”

Big Brother executive producer Katy Smith insisted told the paper: “We are looking for diverse types of people. Often people audition and imitate previous housemates but we are looking for new people and new personalities.

“A lot of people come in with big fronts up. We try to break that down to see who they really are.”

The final series starts in the summer and it’s not too late to apply! Find out about upcoming open auditions on the Channel4 website

  1. After interview in manchester big brother 11 audition they acted unprofissional as showed the exit. didnt say anything what will happen next?

  2. With regards to being shown the exit… There are several stages

    1) Group work

If you pass, you get the eye stamp

    2) Form filling and 2 minute interview.

If you pass, you will be told, yes or no, about 15 minutes later.

    3) The HUGE form…

takes 2-3 hours to fill in, if your a slow writer, lots of indepth questions. followed by a 10 minute interview… (This may be the same day, or next day, depending on how many slots they have).

They will let you know what to expext, eg, not tell anyone if you got that far etc…

You will be told at some point if you HAVE got through, they may not call at all if you did not go through, and it may take a long time (till ALL auditions are done, maybe) This is usual procedure for many media interviews. Just say there are 10000 people going to the final interviews… and they are putting 1000 through… They will just call the 1000, not the other 9000, just because of the huge costs involved.

If you didnt fill in the LONG questionaire, you did not make it.

    I hope that helps

  6. [...] Big Brother 11 auditions kicked off in Manchester earlier this month, auditions moved onto Dublin and Glasgow, before visiting Cardiff last week. [...]

  7. Thanks, Yes it was after all those above things you have mentioned. I mean it would have been nice to tell you before your exit that, they will be in tuch or not after all audation has finished. People have hopes and travell from far away to go there, never mind spending time and money to get there.
