Quite a few of us would love to be getting paid £35,000 for a year’s work, let alone 3 weeks’ worth – but that’s only the lowest amount some of this year’s celebrities are getting paid. Footballer-turned-actor Vinne Jones leads the pack, receiving £350,000 for his time on the final series, according to News Of The World
Katie Price’s boyfriend Alex Reid will be getting a cheque for £175,000 to appear in the show.
Rapper Lady Sovereign and Price’s former boyfriend Dane Bowers will both receive £35,000 for their time.
US star Stephen Baldwin is getting £150,000 while actress Stephanie Beacham is on £100,000. Ronnie Wood’s ex Ekaterina Ivanova, along with Swedish singer Basshunter and Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss will get £75,000 each.
Former Page 3 Model Nicola T will earn £50,000.
An insider revealed tension amongst the celebrities after their respective fees were revealed: “They don’t think Vinnie’s worth so much more than them. They say he hasn’t even done that much memorable film work, so he’s hardly the biggest star in the world.
“Some of them even think it’s wrong for Vinnie to be going in the house and getting paid at all considering his chequered past.”
Celebrity Big Brother starts its final series tonight at 9PM on Channel4.
