Vinnie Jones has finished Celebrity Big Brother 2009 in third place after receiving 20.2% of the vote from the final three, the footballer-turned-actor was the third person to leave in tonight’s final of the last ever series of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel4. Vinnie didn’t receive a single nomination during his time in the house and therefore never faced eviction.
On Day 3, Big Brother played a nasty trick on Vinnie’s birthday, locking him in a phone box and giving the other housemates challenges to rescue him. After a couple of hours he was released but was far from pleased.
By Day 12, Big Brother had noticed Vinnie’s frequent reading of the Welcome Pack and challenged him to a quiz where he won 9 out of 11 prizes for the group.
On Day 13, Vinnie and Sov clashed over food rationing, with Jones getting angry at Sov’s selfish attitude in the house.
On Day 19, Vinnie found himself in another battle, this time with Sisqo. Declaring it was “David faces Goliath”, Sisqo asked the public to keep him in to beat Vinnie. Unfortunately for Sisqo, he was evicted, something which Vinnie took great pleasure in.
On Day 25, Vinnie became the final victim of the Tree of Temptation who asked him to humiliate himself in front of the others. Vinnie passed and was rewarded with a football match in the task room.
Vinnie started out as favourite to win the show, right up until the last few days where his popularity dropped to the point he was battling with Jonas in the odds for fourth place.
